I'm not a huge fan of the 1952 - 1956 Topps cards but I have collected a few of the Braves cards:

I like this card even though I don't like the cluttered nature of the design.
We end with two from 1956.

While 1953 is my favorite design my favorite card is the Ernie Johnson. I grew up listening to him on the radio or on Braves games on TBS. I'm sure he would be proud that his son was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as a broadcaster.

ReplyDeleteI used to like the '53 set quite a bit, but now that Topps is using (to death?) the design for one of their online only sets, I've really fallen out of love with it.
ReplyDelete1956 is my favorite design... but I'd pick the Pafko as my favorite card. Once upon a time, I owned his 1952 Topps card.
